- Tank Shell Settlement Survey and Visual Inspection based on API 653 codes, depends on requirement from the client further techniques can be added in this package.
3) LONG RANGE ULTRASONIC TECHNIQUE (LRUT)
Unlike UT which is done in various clock positions on pipelines; LRUT does 100% scanning of the pipeline from a single location. It can inspect inaccessible areas like offshore risers & offsite piping, road crossings, dykes, culverts, in-cased pipelines etc. LRUT is used as a screening tool by all of the major Oil and Gas companies for more than 10 years now.
4) PULSED EDDY CURRENT TESTING (PEC)
PECT is used for Corrosion under Insulation (CUI) applications and in this technique thickness measurements can be made through any type of non-metallic coatings / insulations without removal of insulation / coatings. Typical applications are Concrete coated Horton Sphere Legs, Insulated pipelines, brick lined / concrete coated Vessel Skirts etc. PEC can be done online without disturbing the operations even at high or at sub- zero temperatures.
5) UNDERWATER PULSED EDDY CURRENT TESTING (UWPECT)
Pulsed Eddy Current testing of offshore risers, subsea pipelines and piles can be carried out with the help of a diver (Underwater / Splash Zone Pulsed Eddy Current Testing). TechCorr has executed many jobs and has trained manpower to carry out Under Water PEC Inspections.
6) SHORT RANGE ULTRASONIC TESTING (SRUT)
Corrosion under Tank Annular Plates (CUTAP) is one of the areas where SRUT technique is used to find out active corrosion while the tank is in service. Other applications involve Testing Concrete Coated Interfaces, Corrosion under Pipe Supports (CUS), Tank Dyke Piping Interfaces, Saddle supports for pipes and vessel etc.
7) ACOUSTIC EMISSION TESTING (AET)
It involves detecting, locating and measuring the severity of sources of emissions in structures /equipments. Applications include Inspection of tanks for leaks, corrosion & grading, Inspection of vessels etc. Continuous monitoring of Bridges & Aircraft structures are other applications apart from Oil & Gas sector.
8) AUTOMATED CORROSION MAPPING
Automated Corrosion Mapping is an ultrasonic technique utilized to scan one-hundred percent of a steel surface to locate size and document damage associated with the equipment being inspected. Applications include in-service scanning of vessels, tank walls, frac towers, drums, steel plate, in-line inspection validations and numerous other applications. This also includes High temperature Corrosion Mapping of equipment.
9) PHASED ARRAY UT (PAUT) & TIME OF FLIGHT DIFFRACTION (TOFD)
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) allows complex geometry materials to be inspected from a single access point by providing beam steering, dynamic focusing and electronic positioning capability. Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) is an ultrasonic technique utilized to perform weld quality examinations on heavy wall equipment in lieu of radiography.
10) TUBE INSPECTION
Tubular Inspection is for the inspection of ferrous and non-ferrous tubes (plain and finned tubes) through Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Remote Field Testing (RFT), DC Saturation Eddy Current Testing, and Internal Rotating Inspection System (IRIS).
11) MAGNETIC FLUX LEAKAGE (MFL)
MFL inspection is a method of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) used to detect and assess corrosion, pitting and wall loss in lined and unlined Metallic Storage Tanks and Pipelines. A powerful magnet is used to magnetize the steel. In areas where there is corrosion or missing metal, the magnetic field “leaks” from the steel. MFL tools use sensors placed between the poles of the magnet to pinpoint the leakage field.
12) ELECTROMAGNETIC ACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER (EMAT)
EMAT inspection is for high temperature surfaces from -20 to +720⁰ C.
Plastic coatings, paint or lime scale on the surface do not affect the results of measurements as It is a Non-contact thickness measurement of aluminum, ferromagnetic and stainless-steel products.
It helps in Gauging corrosion, erosion, wear and tear and Detects flaws of 2 mm and larger.
13) 3D LASER CORROSION MAPPING
3D Laser Corrosion Mapping for Corroded Pipelines, Vessels & Tanks. It is reliable, efficient, easy & accurate. It performs pipeline fitness for service in minutes using RSTRENG or KAPPA. The advanced corrosion software module offers very fast and reliable data processing that generates instant, on-site results. In comparison with traditional measurement methods, this software offers accuracy and repeatability that are beyond expectations.
14) VIDEO CRAWLERS AND BORESCOPES
TechCorr’s video inspection tools are ideal for a broad set of applications, including: examining the material condition inside pipes, tubes, vessels, and tanks; assessing insulation integrity; evaluating equipment reliability; inspecting internal piping components, such as floats, baffles, valves, and internal coatings; confirming the results of other non-destructive testing methods and verifying drawings and schematics.
15) WATER WALL TUBES INSPECTION
The scanning is based on Electromagnetic Technique. A low frequency electromagnetic field is injected into the tube material using an external horseshoe shaped electromagnet. A flaw distorts the magnetic flux lines, which is sensed by sensors. The extent of defect is measured by observing the change in phase and/or amplitude. The flaws detected by Electromagnetic during the scanning can be further verified using ultrasonic testing.
16) CAT / DCVG / ACVG / CIPL SURVEY / PIPE LOCATOR
DCVG helps to find whether the coating of installed pipe has been damaged and gives information about the coating holidays of the pipeline. The detailed information provided by DCVG survey when analyzed with other information such as CIPS, soil resistivity, pH, etc. enables pipeline rehabilitation requirements to be prioritized for the most cost-effective repair.
17) WIRE ROPE TESTING
All wire rope eventually wears out making periodic inspections necessary throughout the service life of the rope. Ropes deteriorate for many reasons and their strength reduces during life time. Wire rope is prone to damage and wear due to abrasion, fatigue, corrosion, and improper handling. For safe operation wire ropes should be periodically inspected and timely discarded – premature discard of wire rope is wasteful and costly.
18) VISUAL AIM (Asset Integrity Management)
Asset Integrity Management (AIM) is the program for the safe and reliable operation of production equipment and facilities. AIM encompasses the minimization and mitigation of environmental, operating, and safety risks through Asset Inspection, Assessment, Compliance and Documentation.
